The 2025 NHL Stanley Cup Final series stands at 3–2 in favor of the Florida Panthers, who dominated Game 5 with a commanding 5–2 win over the Edmonton Oilers, thanks to goals from Brad Marchand and a standout performance from other stars like Matthew Tkachuk. In that context, Oilers captain Leon Draisaitl didn’t stay silent and delivered a bold statement ahead of the sixth chapter of the saga.

Florida is looking to close out the series in front of its home crowd in Sunrise and repeat the title it won in 2024, led by stars like Tkachuk and Sam Bennett. The Panthers took full advantage of their trip to Edmonton in Game 5 to get within one win of the championship and now have the chance to finish the job.

The Oilers will aim to push the series to a Game 7 back in Edmonton, with Connor McDavid as their main star leading the charge to win the league title at Rogers Place. In recent hours, Draisaitl has intensified the buildup to Game 6, sending a strong message to show their opponents that the Oilers are far from giving up.
