Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the Spanish Clasico: How are the LaLiga standings and what do they need to secure the title?

Kylian Mbappe may have scored a hat-trick against Barcelona, but Raphinha delivered a brace of his own to give the Catalan side the edge over Real Madrid in a huge Clasico in LaLiga.

Barcelona have proven that their Champions League loss to Inter Milan was only a temporary setback. With a crucial victory over Real Madrid in El Clasico, the Blaugrana moved closer to securing another La Liga title. But where do they currently stand in the table, and what do they need to clinch the championship?

Led by standout performances from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, who netted a brace, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid and took a major step toward the league crown. The gap at the top has now widened significantly.

Despite a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid missed a golden opportunity to stay in the title race. Already eliminated from the Champions League and having lost the Copa del Rey final to Barcelona, La Liga was their last shot at silverware this season.

What do Barcelona need to secure the LaLiga title?

Barcelona could clinch the title as early as this week, as they only need two more points in their remaining three matches to secure the first place in the LaLiga standings. The earliest they could lift the trophy is on Wednesday, if Real Madrid lose to Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu. If Madrid tie, Barcelona would only need one point to become champions.

However, even if Madrid win, a victory over Espanyol on Thursday will be enough to guarantee the championship. If Barcelona lose to Espanyol, their title hopes will depend on Real Madrid’s result. If they don’t clinch this week, the title race would remain open for the next game against Villarreal at home.

Either way, the La Liga title race is reaching its climax. Every point from here on out could determine the outcome. Barcelona hold the advantage, but Real Madrid are still in the hunt.
