The transfer deadline is getting close and Barcelona don't want to miss out on any opportunities to raise funds. Club president Joan Laporta didn't face an easy summer but, finally, he might have good news. According to El Pais, Barca are close to securing a combined €41 million for the departure of two players.

The Catalans would not only be delighted due to the much-needed cash they'd bag, but also because we're talking about two names that weren't among Ronald Koeman's first choices.

For different reasons, Barcelona have found in these two an opportunity of making money and, also, reducing their wage bill. In the strangest of circumstances, Ilaix Moriba and Emerson Royal are on the verge of being transferred.

Ilaix Moriba

The academy product is leaving the club on bad terms as his camp had high demands for a contract renewal and Barca denied to fulfill them. Ilaix Moriba, 18, is reportedly being transferred to Bundesliga side Leipzig for a €16 million fee which could rise to €23 m with add-ons, per El Pais.

The Guinean youngster made his first-team debut under Koeman last season, but the Dutchman didn't hesitate to take the board's side in the contract renewal conflict. Barca would have never wanted one of theirs leaving like this, but at least they take home a significant amount of cash.

Emerson Royal

Shockingly, Emerson Royal is about to leave Barcelona despite arriving from Betis this season. Even though the Brazilian right-back was looking forward to making an impact at Camp Nou, Tottenham would take him to the Premier League for €25 million plus €5 m in add-ons.

Two seasons ago, the Cules acquired Emerson from Atletico Mineiro but he went to Real Betis, who split the transfer fee with Barca. This summer, Barcelona signed Emerson from the Sevilla side, but history would be repeating itself as the Catalans are once again placing him somewhere else.
