Tokyo 2020 will be over and the men’s soccer gold medal will be up for grabs when Brazil take on Spain in the final match of the Olympic Games. The reigning champions are one game away from securing their second Olympic success in a row, but their rivals have been flying in this tournament.

La Verde-amarela have comfortably won Group D despite dropping two points against Ivory Coast on Matchday 2. In the knockout phase, Brazil have had to sweat to defeat Egypt1-0 and then knocked Mexico out in a dramatic penalty shootout. Even though they don’t have Neymar this time, they are close to winning the Olympic gold medal for the second straight time.

On the other hand, Spain haven’t done a remarkable job in the group stage but they strengthened themselves in the knockout matches. Following a hard-fought win over Egypt and another victory against Japan, they are in the final and want to claim gold.
