Manchester City started their campaign in the Champions League 2021/22 winning 6-3 to RB Leipzig. Pep Guardiola’s team is undoubtedly one of the candidates to win this tournament, and they proved it with a terrific match at the Etihad Stadium.
Jack Grealish scored his first goal in the Champions League, also showing that he was worth what the team paid for him (at least for now). However, not everything was about the blues. For RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku became the first player of the team to score a hat-trick in the Champions League and is the second player to score a hat-trick against City, following Lionel Messi steps (2016).
With the victory, Manchester City is first in the Group A, with PSG held to a draw against Club Brugge (1-1). The English team is having a great start of the season, being a machine of scoring goals. Besides Grealish, Nathan Aké also scored his first goal in the tournament.

Manchester City went to the break with an advantage of 3-1, courtesy of goals by Aké, Mukiele (own goal) and Mahrez, from the penalty spot. But in the second half, Nkunku shortened the distance in the score sheet with a header.
