Paris Saint-Germain will be back in UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday, October 19, when they take on Leipzig at Parc des Princes on Matchday 3 of Group A. Unfortunately, they'll have to do so without Neymar.

PSG had a relatively worrying start to the season as they failed to deliver convincing performances despite they got results so far. After landing Lionel Messi, setting up one of the mightiest squads of all time, people had higher expectations regarding their game.

Mauricio Pochettino has the task of bringing success this season and to do that the team will probably need to turn up their game soon. However, the upcoming match will be challenging with Neymar in the sidelines.

Why is Neymar not playing for PSG vs Leipzig?

The South American World Cup Qualifiers latest fixtures seem to have produced some bad news for PSG as Leandro Paredes and Neymar came back with injuries from the October international window.

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed Neymar will miss the match against Leipzig as he felt pain in his groin since returning from international duty. Additionally, the club stated he will "undergo more treatment over the next few days before returning to full training."

It's not been an easy start to the season for the Brazilian star, and this prevents him from bouncing back and turn things around. In the meantime, he'll just sit and watch his teammates hoping they can get the job done at home.
