PSG stole the limelight during the last transfer window. The arrival of Lionel Messi was just the icing on the cake for a team that had previously signed Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Danilo Pereira.

In a blink of an eye, Paris Saint-Germain set up one of the mightiest squads of all time. But that wouldn't be it for the Ligue 1 side, who are looking forward to going all in in the future as well.

With Kylian Mbappe's future up in the air, PSG have been linked with a number of forwards as potential signings. But their attention would also be focused on landing a central midfield, a position for which they'd have an Inter Milan player on their radar.

PSG reportedly target Inter Milan star who'd pretend €5.5 million wage plus bonuses

Having a powerful offensive trio and a pretty solid defense, Paris would be concerned on upgrading their midfield for next season. They were already linked to the likes of Franck Kessie and Paul Pogba, who are both running out of contract next summer with AC Milan and Manchester United, respectively.

But, according to FCInternews, PSG are also interested in Inter Milan's Nicolo Barella. The 24-year-old has had an impressive start to the 2021-22 season after winning the Euro 2020 with Italy and the report claims Paris have even sent a scout to watch him in the Nerazzurri's 2-2 draw with Atalanta.

Although Barella is a key player for Simone Inzaghi and he is understood to be happy at the club, he would also want to renegotiate his current deal which expires in 2024. Barella, whose market value is €65 million (per Transfermarkt), reportedly demands a €5.5 million salary plus bonuses.

For now, both parties aren't in a hurry to resolve this situation, but as soon as PSG and other teams begin to approach Barella, it would become a much more important matter
