Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on a new name for next season as an alternative to Kylian Mbappé, the club's main target. Richarlison has once again shown his talent in Copa America 2021 with Brazil and he apparently talked with his former coach Carlo Ancelotti recently.

The Italian manager, who left Everton to begin his second stint at Santiago Bernabeu, knows the forward very well from his time in Merseyside and according to Daily Mail and ESPN, he has called him to discuss a possible move to the Spanish giants.

Ancelotti has a big challenge ahead of him looking to lead Madrid to glory after a trophyless 2020/21 season. Mbappé's future is up in the air but PSG seem reluctant to sell him now and they also set an unaffordable price tag for Madrid. Therefore, Richarlison could emerge as one of the alternatives to the Frenchman.

Richarlison (Everton)

The 24-year-old forward has quickly become an important asset for the Toffees while he shone with the Brazilian national team, winning the Copa America 2019. Richarlison played a pivotal role during Ancelotti's tenure at Goodison Park, so it's no surprise that the Italian boss considers him for his new Real Madrid.

However, Richarlison is under contract with Everton until 2024 and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is $60.50 million, turning him into an expensive alternative for Los Blancos. The Spanish side will probably need to spend anyways if it seriously wants to give a boost to its squad.

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

Often criticized over the last months, Raheem Sterling stepped up in Euro 2020 and has been a complete standout in England's campaign towards the final. Real Madrid have been interested in him for months and this could be the moment in which they finally make a step forward to sign him.

Reports from England state that Sterling is unhappy for being involved in a potential operation to sign Harry Kane and that he might consider leaving the Etihad after six years. Still, Man City and Pep Guardiola are reportedly unwilling to sell Sterling, while his transfer fee would be nearly $100 million.

Alexander Isak (Real Sociedad)

The 21-year-old Sweden international has been linked with Real Madrid over the last few weeks. According to Spanish outlet As, Los Blancos have held talks with Alexander Isak's representatives to inquire about his situation.

Isak is under contract at Real Sociedad until 2026 and has a release clause of €70 million ($83 m). At 21 years of age, Isak's future seems bright and he already has La Liga and international experience. Still, if Madrid want to sign him, they'll probably have to pay directly the €70 million clause as Real Sociedad have no intentions of letting their young star leave.
