Even though it seemed like they were having a bright start to the season, Tottenham have fallen apart over the last few weeks and they find themselves in a worryingspot with six rounds into the 2021-22 Premier League.

It’s not been an easy summer for Spurs with all the Harry Kane to Manchester City saga while they were going throughanother transition of managers with the appointment ofNuno Espirito Santo. And nowthey are facingan early wake-up call.

However, that wouldn’t prevent them from thinking about the long term. While Tottenham must turn things around on the pitch fast, they may also prepare for thosecontracts that will expire next summer.

Johnstone was valued at£15 million ($20m) this summer but no club was willing to satisfy The Baggies’ demands. West Ham were reportedly interested in him but a£11m ($14.7m) offer wasn’t enough to match West Brom’s expectations.
