Matchday 3 of the Tokyo 2020 Women's Soccer Tournament is over. The third round had some teams bouncing back. For instance, the Netherlands beat China 3-1 and Brazil hung on to a tough 1-0 win over Zambia.

Chile and Japan sealed a goalless draw while Sweden ended up on top of New Zealand with a 2-0 win. When it comes to the other clashes, Great Britain, for one, couldn't get past Canada, who beat them 0-1.

Tokyo 2020 Women's Soccer Group Stage – Standings

After Matchday 3, Great Britain lead Group E with six points, leaving Canada behind in second with a total of four points won. In third and fourth are Japan, who have earned only one point so far, and Chile with no points. In Group F,  the Netherlands are tied with Brazil for the first spot with an identical record of four points but a better goal difference. After having grabbed one point in two matches, China sit in the third position, as well as Zambia, but the Steel Roses have a better goal difference. 

Meanwhile, Sweden hold the top spot in Group G with a maximum of nine points. Second-placed USWNT and third-placed Australia have four points each, but Vlatko Andonovski's side have scored more goals in comparison.
