The 2021-22 Champions League began on Tuesday with thrilling matches and plenty of emotions. The most prestigious tournament in Europe didn’t fail to deliver and potential candidates began their journey in the quest for European glory on the right foot, while others not so much. 

The first day of the group stage left some memories. There were surprises like the victory of Young Boys over Manchester United. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich massacred Barcelona (3-0) at the Camp Nou with an incredible performance to lead Group E. Both Juventus and Chelsea won their respectives matches without any problem. The Old Lady beat 3-0 Malmo on the road, while the reigning champions defeated Zenit 1-0.

Wednesday's action was packed with blockbuster clashes. Lionel Messi started for PSG in their sour draw against Club Brugge, while Real Madrid upset Inter Milan with a late winner, and Liverpool emerged victorious over AC Milan in a hard-fought game. Manchester City put six past Leipzig, while Ajax destroyed Sporting CP, and Atletico Madrid shared the points with Porto.
