Novak Djokovic claimed the title at the Geneva Open, marking a major career milestone as he closes in on Roger Federer on the all-time titles list. With a hard-fought comeback victory over Hubert Hurkacz, the Serbian star secured another trophy and now shifts his focus to Roland Garros, the next Grand Slam on the calendar.

Djokovic’s run in Switzerland featured a standout performance in the final. After dropping the first set, he bounced back to win 2–1, taking the last two sets in tiebreaks. The win adds another chapter to his storied career.

With this triumph, Djokovic joins an elite group of players with 100 career titles, alongside Federer and Jimmy Connors, two of the sport’s all-time greats. He now sits just three titles behind Federer (103) on the all-time list, while Connors remains the record holder with 109.

While catching Connors remains uncertain, Djokovic continues to show the form needed to stay in the hunt. With plenty of tournaments to play this year, Djokovic can be even close, and why not, matching Federer’s milestone.

Next challenge: 2025 French Open

With rising stars like Carlos Alcaraz, who has a date with history at Roland Garros, the tournament promises to be one of the most competitive in years. Still, Djokovic has a chance to separate himself once again by claiming a fourth title at French Open.

While the road won’t be easy, Djokovic enters the tournament with strong momentum from his Geneva win. His campaign begins with a first-round matchup against American Mackenzie McDonald, and the 24-time Grand Slam champion will be eager to prove he’s still the man to beat.
