“The first time he took a set off Rafa, during the 2023 preseason, it was thrilling,” Allenby shared. “Rafa wasn’t at 100%, working on specific things, but it was still an incredible experience. Winning a practice set against Rafa might have meant more to him than winning a tournament. For Coleman, it was like beating a god”.



Allenby recounted a notable stretch of practices. “Over four days, they played three sets, and Coleman won 2-1. Even though Rafa was coming off a vacation, playing more relaxed, it gave Coleman so much confidence. He realized his tennis wasn’t that far behind”.

“I am pleased with my performance today. I think there are things I am trying to add into my game each week, and I am trying to implement them this week,” Shelton continued. “Sometimes things don’t work all the time.
