Huber spent his entire career in his hometown Cincinnati, being drafted by the Bengals in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He missed only 10 games across his 14 seasons in the league and made the Pro Bowl in 2014.

“Burrow and Herbert occupy different planes,” wrote Florio. “Herbert is irrelevant to Burrow. The only reason for Burrow to wait would be to see whether Herbert gets more than expected, which would raise the floor considerably for Burrow.”



“If Burrow goes first, it’s hard to imagine Herbert getting as much or more,” Florio added. “Frankly, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Chargers wait a year to do Herbert’s deal. He doesn’t seem to be wired to whine about it, and the Chargers could be inclined to take advantage of one more relatively low-cost year under Herbert’s rookie deal before paying him. Especially if Herbert isn’t inclined to complain.”



Truth be told, as good as Herbert is, Burrow is just on a tier of his own when it comes to young QBs. So, it’s only a matter of time before he gets his new market-setting deal.

“It’ll be very different for me personally,” Brown said on ESPN’s NFL Live, via Russ Heltman of SI.com. “A lot of these drops by Patrick [Mahomes] right here in the Super Bowl were similar to kind of what I’m going to see in Cincinnati. 



“But [there are] so many different concepts that we run in Cincinnati compared to Kansas City from a pass standpoint with the receivers … it’s gonna be a lot more firm. It’s gonna be a lot quicker, you know, I’ll be able to be a lot more aggressive in certain situations, just given the personnel and the way that they call plays.”



Brown’s departure is a huge blow for the Chiefs, since he’s also strengthening an AFC rival. Only time will tell, but this signing could prove to be the missing for Burrow and the Bengals.
