<h2>Parsons is happy to see Prescott, Jones reach an agreement</h2>



While Dallas will soon have to take care of Parson’s contract situation, the team got a big weight off its shoulder by securing Prescott for the long term, which also makes the linebacker feel relieved.



“We’re happy it gets done because now, it puts a lot of talk to the side,” Parsons said. “We’re like, ‘Man, we got our quarterback now.’ We can really just focus, like Dak said, on winning games. … So having our guys, CeeDee Lamb and Dak done, it means the world to us.”

The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/dallas-cowboys" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dallas Cowboys</a> are officially on the clock. Justin Jefferson reset the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> market for wide receivers, getting a whopping $140 million with $110 million fully guaranteed.



That means <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/ceedee-lamb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CeeDee Lamb</a> and his agents now have a baseline which with to work. The Cowboys could’ve signed him earlier, and they’re now going to pay up because of this.



With that in mind, fellow star Micah Parsons, who’s also looking to get a contract extension of his own, voiced his support for Lamb and the big payday he’s going to get.



<h2>Micah Parsons Predict CeeDee Lamb’s New Contract</h2>



“CeeDee about to hit the Brink truck,” Parsons said. “He about to get his. I can’t think of somebody more deserving. I think CeeDee’s the best receiver in the league. If you want to argue, top three, but in my eyes, seeing his mindset, how he comes every day, I think he deserves every penny. I’m going to be super excited for him for whatever his contract lays out. It’s going to be a nice contract, for sure.”

The Penn State product didn’t stop there. He went as far as to predict that his star teammate would get close to $36 million a year, going as far as to say that he’s a better player than Justin Jefferson:



“If I’m his agent, CeeDee’s getting about $36 million (per year),” Parsons said. “But I’m not his agent, I don’t know what goes on, what’s the combative arguments or whatever it is that may be. But (Justin) Jefferson set it. You could argue that CeeDee’s better, however you want to put it, but CeeDee should be right there with him.”

Whether Lamb is a better wide receiver than Jefferson is up for debate. What isn’t is that he’s likely going to get as much money — if not more — than him, and the Cowboys only have themselves to blame for waiting this long to get a deal done.

As a consequence, the linebacker has deliberately missed OTAs in something that, according to head coach, Mike McCarthy, will impact the team. “I think any time that you have a chance to be together, it’s an opportunity to improve. Whether it’s in the mental realm, the physical realm and the emotional connection and so forth. It’s a long year. Training camp is really the heightened focus for all of that, but it’s definitely an opportunity that’s been missed.”



It’s a very intriguing situation in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> as <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/dak-prescott">Dak Prescott</a> and CeeDee Lamb are also waiting for their payday in something which has created a big buzz. McCarthy understands the situation, but, considering there’s a new defensive coordinator in town (Mike Zimmer), he doesn’t seem pleased with Micah’s absence.



“At the end of the day, everybody has a responsibility. It’s our jobs. Obviously, we have this period of time to have football activity that’s regulated. I wouldn’t say fortunately, but 98% of our football team has been here. We’ve accomplished a lot. Everybody has a responsibility whether they’re here or not here to get what they need, because when we get to Oxnard that is our one opportunity for real football.”

<h2>Will Micah Parsons get a contract extension with Dallas Cowboys?</h2>



Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a contract extension on the horizon for Micah Parsons. In fact, just a few days ago, the Dallas Cowboys picked his fifth-year option for 2025. 


 

 


So, that means the process of a new deal could be enormously delayed. Parsons is ‘locked’ for two more seasons and Jerry Jones has no rush to start negotiations. 2024 might pass without talks and, if there’s no agreement by 2025, let’s no forget there’s still the franchise tag option.

That’s why, at least for the moment, Micah has no big leverage. On the contrary, in the case of Dak Prescott, he is just one year away of becoming an unrestricted free agent. The quarterback might be the priority impacting how Jones manages Lamb and Parsons. 



Even in this scenario, Mike McCarthy believes Parsons will deliver on the field. “He’s engaged and he’ll be ready when it’s time. I have confidence in that. That interaction is going on with Mike Zimmer. I feel comfortable that he will be ready to go.”

That’s not what you want to hear from a team with <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/super-bowl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Super Bowl </a>aspirations that was humilited at home in the playoffs.



Jerry Jones vowed to go all-in. Instead, he let some of their best players walk away, and he barely spent in free agency. On top of that, some of his players aren’t exactly happy.



They recently picked up Micah Parsons’ fifth-year option for the 2025 season. However, he wants a raise and a new deal right now, and he’s not going to show up until he gets one.



<h2>Micah Parsons Doesn’t Show Up At OTAs</h2>



“Parsons, the star linebacker who wants a new contract, did not attend the opening of OTAs, according to Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram,” reported ProFootballTalk.

<h2>CeeDee Lamb Is Also Absent</h2>



To make things even worse, star WR CeeDee Lamb wasn’t in attendance, either. He’s looking to get a new contract after having the best season of his career in 2023:



“Parsons joins CeeDee Lamb as key Cowboys who are not participating in OTAs as they seek new deals,” added the report. “Lamb was always expected to skip voluntary work, but the Cowboys had been hoping that Parsons would show up. Parsons’ agent said in April that his absence from voluntary work was not about his contract, but Parsons would obviously like to get a long-term deal from the Cowboys.”

The Cowboys need to act quickly, as this is the cheapest both players will ever be. This tactic has never worked for Jerry Jones, and that’s not likely to change any time soon.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most criticized team in the NFL as owner Jerry Jones hasn’t made big moves in free agency. I hope that we go out and get the players that we’re missing because&nbsp;we didn’t do that this year. I hope that we challenge ourselves to become better and become greater for us.”

<h2>Will Micah Parsons sign a contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys?</h2>



Micah Parsons won’t get his long awaited contract extension. However, in a totally expected move, the Dallas Cowboys gained time by picking up his fifth-year option for 2025.


 

 


The big problem is that won’t satisfy the star defensive player who is looking to avoid uncertainty about his future. Considering his spectacular performances, Parsons wants a deal of at least $30 million per year.

Now, the Cowboys won’t extend Prescott and Parsons in the near future and this could create a big controversy. Dak has taken a cautious approach by letting the 2024 season play out, but, Micah is way more vocal about the team’s issues. 



<h2>Will Micah Parsons leave the Dallas Cowboys?</h2>



Micah Parsons is 24 years old trying to secure the biggest contract of his young career. Although he’ll make $21 million in 2025 after the Cowboys’ recent move, there are no guarantees of what could happen, for example, in terms of injuries.
