<p>On Monday former <strong><a href="https://us.bolavip.com/new-york-mets-t110386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets </a>GM Jared Porter</strong> had admitted to sending text messages to a foreign female correspondent who had moved to the United States to cover the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/mlb-t48464" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLB</a>. While Porter did not admit to sending lewd pictures of himself, it was confirmed by ESPN that Porter had in fact sent various unsolicited images and texts to the reporter in 2016.</p>
<p>According to the copy of the text history acquired by ESPN, Porter had sent an inappropriate X-rated image of himself along with 15 photos of the hotel he was staying at and 1 picture of his groin. The female reporter stated at one point she received over 60 messages from Porter, and once she ignored him the messages continued.</p>
<p><strong>Mets owner Steve Cohen</strong> wasted little time, 12 hours approximately, to fire the 41-year-old former GM. Cohen released a statement stating: <em>“I spoke about the importance of integrity and I meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior.”</em> It was a promise Cohen made to fans when he bought the team in November to bring back accountability and integrity to the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/sports/top-25-new-york-sports-teams-with-most-fans-20200429-0003.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets</a>.</p>

Well, DJ is not the only one having relatively cheap contracts and not even the least paid star in the Majors.</p>
<p>In fact, there are more players that are pretty big deals for their respective teams and are getting paid the minimum salary. Of course, there are several reasons for that; players that blossomed into stars way earlier than expected. He made his MLB debut three years later, and in 2019, he played a key role in the Washington Nationals’ first-ever World Series. This kid is only 22 right now and he’s set to leave a big mark on the Nats and the league. Last season he led the league in average with .351 and is one of the most promising players in the Majors.</p>

This man has more strikeouts (495) than innings pitched (489.0), so that would explain how good he really is.</p>

<p>Morosi didn’t get into the terms of the contract, but<strong> MLB Network’s Jon Heyman</strong> recently said in an interview that he’s likely to get the same kind of deal <strong>Josh Donaldson</strong> signed with the <strong><a href="https://us.bolavip.com/minnesota-twins-t114966" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Minnesota Twins</a>:</strong></p>
<p><em>“I’ve heard four years and close to $20 million [per year that the Yankees are] offering at this point (…) We understand he’s looking for a five-year deal and the word was he was looking for well over $20 million, probably close to $25 million a year (…) There seems to be compromising room in there. <strong>Somewhere around that Josh Donaldson deal– four years for $92 million. I think that should get it done,</strong>” </em>Heyman reported.</p>
<p>Obviously, signing a 32-year-old player is a risk, and the Yankees haven’t had that much luck with their big contracts lately except for <strong>Gerrit Cole.</strong> Then again, they just can’t afford to lose their best player from the past two seasons.</p>

<p>That’s why, out of pure frustration, LeMahieu has reportedly reached out to his agent to re-engage with talks with all the other teams around<a href="https://us.bolavip.com/mlb-t48464" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> MLB</a> interested in paying <strong>what he’s worth in today’s market.</strong></p>

<p>And, according to a report by <strong>FanSided and SNY.tv, the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/new-york-mets-t110386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets</a> </strong>could make LeMahieu their top target right now after already acquiring<strong> Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco, </strong>especially considering that they’re now thin at infield depth:</p>
<p><em>“<strong>The New York Mets</strong>, who just traded for Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco, appear to be going for it all in the short- and long-term. What’s even more excruciating? <p><em><strong>“LeMahieu won’t be cheap, but he’ll be a lot cheaper than Springer!</strong> Fewer years, less money, and exactly in line with Cohen’s desire to bring a World Series to Queens within the next 3-5 years. LeMahieu’s likely looking at a four-year deal right now, but he’s vying for that fifth year. The Mets swooping in here to give him a five-year, $110 million deal really isn’t all that crazy,</em>” it concluded.</p>

<p>If you told us two years ago that <strong>Corey Kluber </strong>was going to be a free agent at this point of the offseason, we wouldn’t have believed you. Fast forward to today, and the former Cy Young award winner is yet to sign with an<strong> <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/mlb-t48464" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLB </a></strong>club.</p>
<p>Kluber is coming off a big injury and the<strong> Texas Rangers</strong> decided to decline his option, and now that he seems back to full strength, it seems like there will be plenty of competition lining up for his services.</p>
