<p>Mike Puma of The New York Post reveals that Jackie Bradley Jr could be the Mets’ new target for this offseason. He is not George Springer but the player can make a good addition to the team, although his fit with the team will be very the hardest part of this move.</p>
<p><em>The Mets, in search of improved defense at the position, have continued talks in recent days with Bradley’s camp, according to multiple sources, after Springer’s decision last week to accept a six-year offer from the Blue Jays worth $150 million.</em></p>
<p><em>Bradley, 30, slashed .283/.364/.450 last season for the Red Sox, who remain in the mix to re-sign him, according to reports. The Astros and Giants have also been linked to Bradley, who won a Gold Glove with the Red Sox in 2018.</em></p>
<p><em>But Bradley is hardly an ideal fit for the Mets given that he bats left-handed and would be playing in an outfield that also includes lefty swingers Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo.</em></p>
<p>This could be an interesting addition for the Mets, but as Puma explained, they already have three left-handed players on the outfield. Bradley Jr has been good for the Red Sox and according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe, they still have hopes to re-sign the player but the Mets could ruin their plans.</p>

<p>On Monday former <strong><a href="https://us.bolavip.com/new-york-mets-t110386" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets </a>GM Jared Porter</strong> had admitted to sending text messages to a foreign female correspondent who had moved to the United States to cover the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/mlb-t48464" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MLB</a>. While Porter did not admit to sending lewd pictures of himself, it was confirmed by ESPN that Porter had in fact sent various unsolicited images and texts to the reporter in 2016.</p>
<p>According to the copy of the text history acquired by ESPN, Porter had sent an inappropriate X-rated image of himself along with 15 photos of the hotel he was staying at and 1 picture of his groin. The female reporter stated at one point she received over 60 messages from Porter, and once she ignored him the messages continued.</p>
<p><strong>Mets owner Steve Cohen</strong> wasted little time, 12 hours approximately, to fire the 41-year-old former GM. Cohen released a statement stating: <em>“I spoke about the importance of integrity and I meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior.”</em> It was a promise Cohen made to fans when he bought the team in November to bring back accountability and integrity to the <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/sports/top-25-new-york-sports-teams-with-most-fans-20200429-0003.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Mets</a>.</p>

This man has more strikeouts (495) than innings pitched (489.0), so that would explain how good he really is.</p>

We’re months into the offseason and the reigning AL Batting Champion is yet to sign a new deal.</p>

<p>According to a tweet by <strong>MLB.com’s Jon Morosi</strong>, the New York Yankees and DJ LeMahieu are pretty close to signing a new contract and it would be just a matter of hours before it’s made official:</p>

<h2>DJ LeMahieu Could Get $92 Million Over Four Years</h2>
<p>Morosi didn’t get into the terms of the contract, but<strong> MLB Network’s Jon Heyman</strong> recently said in an interview that he’s likely to get the same kind of deal <strong>Josh Donaldson</strong> signed with the <strong><a href="https://us.bolavip.com/minnesota-twins-t114966" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Minnesota Twins</a>:</strong></p>
<p><em>“I’ve heard four years and close to $20 million [per year that the Yankees are] offering at this point (…) We understand he’s looking for a five-year deal and the word was he was looking for well over $20 million, probably close to $25 million a year (…) There seems to be compromising room in there. <strong>Somewhere around that Josh Donaldson deal– four years for $92 million. I think that should get it done,</strong>” </em>Heyman reported.</p>
<p>Obviously, signing a 32-year-old player is a risk, and the Yankees haven’t had that much luck with their big contracts lately except for <strong>Gerrit Cole.</strong> Then again, they just can’t afford to lose their best player from the past two seasons.</p>
