The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-england-patriots" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">New England Patriots</a> have had the easiest schedule in the entire NFL this season. That’s why some argue that their league-best 11-2 record should have an asterisk next to it.



Fair enough, but they’ve also beaten some very good teams along the way. Notably, that includes the Buffalo Bills, a team most people would agree is a contender.



The Patriots now have a chance to take down the Bills again and secure the AFC East title after their bye week. When asked about that, Drake Maye admitted it wouldn’t be as easy as it sounds.

“The Patriots would need any of the following teams to have a specific result. The Patriots would earn a playoff berth if they tied, and either the Jacksonville Jaguars or Los Angeles Chargers lost, or the Indianapolis Colts or Houston Texans either lost or tied. In a crazier outcome, if New England were to lose to the Bills, if the Colts and Texans both lost, they would clinch their first berth into the tournament since 2021,” Hurwitz explained.



Of course, Coach Vrabel won’t be satisfied with just making the playoffs, even if the Patriots win. There’s plenty of football to be played, and they can’t afford to get complacent now.

Of course, that’s not to say that the Patriots don’t have to keep their foot on the gas for the remainder of the season. However, this situation should take plenty of pressure off their shoulders.

Ironically, the play wasn’t even a flag, hence Eliss’ hit was deemed legal and he didn’t receive any fines. It was an all-around bad game and experience for the New York Giants.



<h2>The Giants season is in limbo</h2>



New York is completely eliminated from any playoffs chances. The team also fired its head coach. Hence, it all depends on trying to establish the bases for next year as the team rebuilds.

Freeling has started in 16 college games (12 this season), meaning he might have to sit and learn behind Moses before he takes over at right tackle. He helped the Georgia Bulldogs to an 11-1 record while being named to the All-SEC third team.&nbsp;

The last player from the Patriots to win an NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month was <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/mac-jones" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mac Jones</a> way back in November, 2021. Hence, Henderson broke a four-year drought. Pats fans must be rejoicing since it’s been a while that an offensive rookie has made waves in Foxborough.

In Week 12, Stevenson was back, but Henderson still led the team in snaps, playing 65% of the offensive plays to Stevenson’s 31%, and Terrell Jennings the other 4%. Therefore, it’s safe to say that Henderson is the best back and the one with most upside on this offense.

There is no point in hiding it any longer: Belichick and Kraft can rarely see eye to eye. While many thought Belichick stepping away from New England and out of the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl">NFL</a> would calm the waters, that hasn’t been the case. Instead, as Belichick coached the North Carolina Tar Heels in college football, his animosity with Kraft and the Patriots came to show often times.

<h2>How likely are Belichick and Kraft to make the Hall of Fame Class of 2026?</h2>



Belichick is virtually guaranteed to be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame thanks to his NFL coaching record of 333-178 (including playoffs). The head coach’s winning total is the second-best all time in the league — only trailing Don Shula (347 wins). With his resume, Belichick is considered a favorite to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer.



As for Kraft, the jury is still out on whether he will be enshrined in the Class of 2026. The odds are still on the Patriots owner’s side, though. Moreover, the NFL may not want to miss the chance to unveil Belichick’s and Kraft’s busts at the same ceremony. It may indeed be pure cinema.

“He’s able to keep his composure, keep his eyes downfield,” Vrabel said. “I thought some of the best plays were just the extensions, the scramble for a first down. To scramble and stay in bounds there late in the game, knowing the situation forces them to call a timeout. And then not throwing an incompletion there at the end of the game. Unselfishly, probably could have said, ‘Hey, I’m gonna try to throw a touchdown.’ And just go and slide and use the clock. Those are the things that probably don’t show up on the stat sheet. Being accurate downfield and being able to give Kayshon (Boutte) a real catchable ball in the end zone was nice, too.”



The Patriots are headed into their bye week. They will return to action on Dec. 14 against the Buffalo Bills, in a duel that can define the 2025 AFC East division champions.&nbsp;

“We’re not done. We’re not satisfied,” Vrabel said. “I think champions are never satisfied. I think you can appreciate where you are. But at the same time, never be satisfied or complacent, and the fine line between rest and recovery and just being sedentary…Understand that just because you have a bye, doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed some victory the next week in this league…”



The Patriots will return to action on Dec. 14 against the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo was the first team the Patriots beat to start their remarkable run. They will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16, before taking on the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins to close out the regular season.&nbsp;

Patriots head coach <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/mike-vrabel">Mike Vrabel</a> backed Ellis, adding that quarterbacks around the league, including his own, are warned weekly about flirting with the sideline. “That’s a weekly reminder to the quarterback — our quarterback,” Vrabel said. “I wouldn’t get too cute over there by the sidelines.
