A pair of teams in the AL West -- the Texas Rangers (5-10) and the Houston Astros (7-8) -- clash on Monday at 8:05 PM ET, at Globe Life Field. Framber Valdez (1-1) will start for the Astros, and Dane Dunning (0-1) for the Rangers.

The Astros are heading into the game after an 8-7 win against the Blue Jays yesterday. Blake Taylor picked up the win after throwing 1/3 of an inning without giving up a hit or an earned run.

The Rangers lost 2-0 to the Athletics yesterday. Spencer Howard was credited with the loss for the Rangers after he went two innings, giving up two earned runs on two hits while striking out four.
