JuJu Watkins has everything to become another women’s basketball sensation after Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, two guards who dominated college basketball before going pro and continuing to write their legacy in the WNBA.

Watkins just finished her sophomore season with the USC Trojans, leaving good sensations again before a season-ending injury took her down and ended her team’s chances to compete for the NCAA championship. Even so, Watkins remains a big deal in the world of basketball. She’s expected to return stronger from the ACL she suffered during the national tournament and continue to dominate college hoops.

WNBA legend Diana Taurasi, who retired from the game a couple of months ago, showered JuJu Watkins with praise during Saturday’s episode of “No Offseason: The Athletic Women’s Basketball Show.”

Host Ben Pickman asked Taurasi who she thinks can adopt her signature slick back, high bun hairstyle in the W. She went out of her way and mentioned Watkins while also praising the young guard’s game.

Is anyone bunning it up? I mean, there is one special young lady from Los Angeles, Southern California, that is one of my favorite players of all time already (in) JuJu. So by all means, I will pass the bun torch to JuJu today,” Taurasi said.

JuJu Watkins is already using the look and little kids have adopted it too. Her impact on the game is already visible and with time, Watkins could be as influential as Taurasi, Bueckers, or even Clark.
