Team USA picked up another win in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, this time in its fourth Pool B game against Great Britain. The matchup drew a crowd of nearly 35,000 fans at Daikin Park in Houston, where the national team fell behind early but ultimately rallied for the victory.

The attendance figure was reported by Bob Nightengale on X (@bnightengale): “Tonight’s attendance for USA-Great Britain: 34,368.” So far, Pool B has posted strong numbers, with two games surpassing 30,000 fans in attendance, both featuring Team USA, including the earlier matchup against Brazil.

For now, Team USA has drawn the largest crowds of the pool. The final two games of this stage will come against Mexico and Italy on March 9 and 10, and similar attendance figures are expected, especially for the matchup against Mexico.

Attendance did not surpass the Team USA vs. Great Britain game from 2023

In the 2023 WBC, the two sides faced off in Game 2 of Pool C. That matchup drew a slightly larger crowd, with 39,650 fans in attendance at Chase Field. Team USA also won that game 6–2 as the home team in a contest that lasted 2 hours and 54 minutes.

Another game that drew a large crowd for Team USA during that same WBC was the matchup in which the United States lost 11–5 to Mexico. It was the national team’s only defeat during the pool stage. A total of 47,534 fans attended that game, which ended up being the second-longest contest in Pool C, lasting 3 hours and 41 minutes.

So far, the 2026 edition of the Classic not only has Team USA as a favorite to win the tournament, but also as one of the teams that could help boost attendance in stadiums across North America. Attendance there has yet to reach the levels seen in games played in Asia, where crowds of more than 40,000 fans per game are common.
