Well, they did it. The Phoenix Suns silenced their critics and will be back in the playoffs after a 10-year drought and all signs point towards them having homecourt advantage throughout most of the postseason.

The Suns had already shown signs of great improvement last season in the bubble in Orlando when they went 8-0 but still missed the play-in tournament. Now, they’ve been one of the most dominant teams in the league.

It’s becoming a trend around the NBA to watch Chris Paul improve every single team he’s been in. It’s been like that for nearly 2 decades now, and once again he proved that he’s far from done in this league.

Chris Paul Says He’s Happy For Devin Booker

However, even though Paul’s leadership and basketball IQ clearly improved this team, he still claims that the Phoenix Suns are Devin Booker’s team and he’s glad that the world will finally get to watch him in the ultimate stage:

“I’m happy for him cause he deserves it. Sometimes in this league, the casual fan don’t get a chance to appreciate somebody’s greatness and Devin is a guy who’s been doing it on a nightly basis. I’m just happy that the world is finally getting to see him,” saidPaul after beating the Clippers.

“I’m grateful that he trusted me to come here and play alongside him. Our team won’t be where we are without him and his willingness to fight every day and his selflessness,” the veteran point guard added.

Booker has averaged 25.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.9 three-pointers per game on 48/34/85 shooting splits and continues to blossom as one of the most prolific scorers in the world. Now, he’ll have to prove that he’s a star by leading his team when it matters the most.
