Aaron Rodgers will play what could be his final season in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and in a very peculiar twist, the team’s schedule looks like a revenge tour set up for the star quarterback.
The veteran will face his former team, the New York Jets, as well as the franchise where he became a legend, the Green Bay Packers. All this along with traditional rivals throughout his career like the Detroit Lions or the Chicago Bears.
As if that weren’t enough, Rodgers will also face the team he was reportedly interested in joining before signing with the Steelers: the Minnesota Vikings. A true odyssey in search of the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers will make his debut as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback on September 7, on the road against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. During an interview with Kyle Brandt, the quarterback admitted it’s quite interesting how the NFL put the schedule together, especially considering they didn’t even know what his final decision would be.
“That’s the way it goes sometimes. Did they have any inside information? I don’t know. Who were they talking to? I’d love to know. But, to start off, and I look at it deeper, start off with the Jets, then play Seattle where DK (Metcalf) just came from, go to Chicago. I mean, obviously we’re playing the NFC North. Green Bay in Pittsburgh. Some weird uniforms though. That’ll be strange. I’m excited. We get to play the Jets, play the Packers again, play the Bears, play the Vikings. It’ll be fun.”
