The Green Bay Packers fell short of their goal once again. They couldn’t get past Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game and missedanother shot at the Super Bowl.

That led a lot of people to question whetherAaron Rodgers will have another shot at a ring or not, including himself. As a matter of fact, he didn’t want to get into his future with the organization or even as a player, citing ‘uncertainty’.

“A lot of guys’ futures, they’re uncertain, myself included,” Rodgers said after the game, prompting once again the rumors of an alleged desire to leave the Packers after his MVP-caliber season.

Brett Favre Doesn’t See Aaron Rodgers Leaving The Green Bay Packers

However, Hall of Famer quarterback Brett Favre – who knows Rodgers pretty well – took to SiriusXM NFL Radio to dismiss that narrative right away, claiming that there’s just no way he leaves the team right now unless he’s retiring from the game:

“I wouldn’t pay much attention to it. I think frustration, disappointment, hurt, pain, all were in that soundbite,” Favre started. “Look, there’s no way the Packers would do anything to jeopardize losing Aaron [Rodgers], unless Aaron just chooses to retire, which I would be shocked. The guy’s playing better now than he’s ever played, and without him, you certainly wouldn’t have been even close to where you were [Sunday]. And I think the same will go for next year, and really the next few years, if he chooses to play. I wouldn’t pay much attention to what he said.”

“I’ve been there. It’s so — I mean, it hurts. It’s painful. The last thing you want to do is think about next year, because you just had a major disappointment, and that’s what you’re hearing in that soundbite,”Favre concluded.

That’s exactly what you want to hear if you’re a Packers fan right now. At 37 years young, Rodgers is still a top-tier quarterback and the only person capable of leading them to a Super Bowl, especially with the lack of weapons they have. Hopefully, they’ll finally get the job done next year, as God knows that he deserves better.
