When the Steelers decided to sign Aaron Rodgers, there were plenty of doubts about his arrival in Pittsburgh. He’s an incredibly talented QB, but his rocky stint with the Jets raised concerns among fans.

After two games, Rodgers has shown he can still be a reliable quarterback. In Week 3, he made history again by throwing a touchdown against the Patriots.

Aaron Rodgers reaches 509 touchdowns: How many does Tom Brady have?

On Sunday, Rodgers surpassed his mentor. The Steelers quarterback threw his 509th career touchdown, overtaking Brett Favre’s 508.

Rodgers is now chasing Peyton Manning, who finished with 539 touchdowns — meaning A-Rod is 30 TDs away from him.

Above Manning is Drew Brees with 571, and at the very top sits Tom Brady, the all-time leader with 649 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Rodgers, it seems unlikely he’ll reach Brady’s record, especially with retirement looming after the 2025 NFL season.
