Lamar Jackson gave Baltimore Ravens fans a huge scare on Wednesday, with reports claiming the quarterback had to leave practice with an apparent injury. However, it didn’t take long for the team to provide clarity on the situation.
“A team spokesman said that Jackson just got his foot stepped on and he’s fine,” wrote Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, much to the relief of the fanbase.
Only a few minutes earlier, before providing the Ravens‘ encouraging update, Zrebiec gave fans reason for concern by reporting Jackson’s exit from practice following an unfortunate situation:
“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson left practice about 40 mins early with S&C coach Scott Elliott next to him and team doctors trailing. Jackson got knocked down making a throw. He stayed in for a few plays but appeared to be flexing his hand/wrist.”
