Jaxson Dart had an impressive performance during the preseason with the New York Giants. After the team’s three games, the rookie quarterback completed 32 of 47 passes for 372 yards and three touchdowns.

However, Dart set off alarms for the Giants in the first quarter of the last game against the Patriots when he decided to run with the ball on 4th & 4, was tackled by Jason Gibbens, and his head hit the ground. Jaxson had already earned a first down, but when he tried to extend the play, he fumbled the ball and New England took possession.

As a result, Jaxson Dart was evaluated for a concussion, but the Giants confirmed that he cleared the protocol. This means he will have no issues being available in Week 1 to face the Washington Commanders.

Did Jaxson Dart get hurt?

Jaxson Dart had to go through the concussion protocol after his head hit the ground in the game against the Patriots. This was the rookie’s explanation of what happened.

“If you’re going to take a big hit, then, yeah, you slide. But, I didn’t feel like I was in a situation where I was going to take a really big hit. So, I felt like I could kind of extend the play and maybe make something out of it. I just should’ve held onto the ball.”
