The Dallas Cowboys are always striving to build a championship-caliber roster. However, Jerry Jones’ latest remarks may not inspire much confidence in Dak Prescott and the team ahead of free agency.

The past three decades have been frustrating for Cowboys fans. Despite assembling star-studded rosters, the team has failed to achieve significant success—going 30 years without even reaching the NFC Championship Game.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones has faced heavy criticism for this prolonged drought, but he remains unfazed, insisting the Cowboys are contenders year after year.

Jerry Jones makes concerning admission about Cowboys’ 2025 free agency

In recent years, fans have pleaded with Jones to make bold moves and overhaul the roster. However, the longtime owner has been reluctant to pursue big-name signings each offseason.

With free agency fast approaching, many expected Dallas to be aggressive after a disappointing 2024 campaign. But Jones doesn’t appear eager to spend big this time around.

According to Cowboys insider Jon Machota, Jones downplayed the idea of using free agency to improve the roster. “I don’t think aggressive is the right word. … I’m not looking at free agency as a place to fill voids,” he said.

Instead, Jones reiterated that the team will once again rely on the draft to address its needs. However, given the Cowboys’ mixed track record with recent draft picks, fans have every reason to be concerned.
