Russell Wilson finished a good season with the Seattle Seahawks a couple of weeks ago. He had a very good campaign individually speaking but the quarterback and his team succumbed against Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams in the 2021 NFL Wildcard round, being eliminated sooner than most people believed.

This offseason will bring a series of questions for the team and the player and some of them could be about their future together. The 2014 Super Bowl champion was even considered an MVP candidate at some point but things didn’t work for him in the end.

Now Wilson could be on the way out of Seattle, or at least that is what some teams around the league think about the talented quarterback. There is no clue of the Hawks trying to get rid of their franchise player but the rest of the NFL franchises aren’t that convinced.

NFL teams inquired Seattle Seahawks about a trade for Russell Wilson

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport recently revealed that some teams had the audacity to call the Seahawks to talk about the possibility of the team trading Wilson away when he’s playing the best football of his career.

“I’m told a couple of teams have actually reached out to the Seattle Seahawks about potentially trading for Russell Wilson. No interest, of course, but that really shows you, teams just want to take their shots at quarterback,” Rapoport said.

This would be incredible to watch. Wilson has been the heart and soul of this franchise since he was drafted and they aren’t planning on shipping him away for the rest of his career. They aren’t the same team that went to two straight Super Bowls, but Russ is the reason why they’ve remained competitive in the last couple of seasons.

With all the rumors surrounding Deshaun Watson, the trade between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams for Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, you know the league is in a place where everybody wants to fish and take advantage of any chance they get to land a good player.
