Sidney Crosby has been involved in multiple trade rumors over the past few weeks. However, the Pittsburgh Penguins and all their fans can rest easy because one of the Canadian star’s close friends, Nathan MacKinnon, has broken the silence on the matter.

The Colorado Avalanche player commented on a post by Georges Laraque in which the writer claimed it was very likely that Crosby would leave Pittsburgh. This was Laraque’s message: “I’m hearing there’s a very good chance that Crosby will play somewhere else.”

Minutes later, MacKinnon gave a strong response to the entire NHL. “Fake news.” As expected, that answer caused a frenzy on social media since Nathan would be an absolutely reliable source to talk about Crosby’s future.

Is Sidney Crosby getting traded?

Sidney Crosby is not getting traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Besides Nathan MacKinnon’s message, there are already two other very clear signs that this will not happen.

First, the player’s agent, Pat Brisson, has told Rob Rossi that all the rumors about Crosby are baseless. Additionally, at the NHL draft, the team’s general manager, Kyle Dubas, also confirmed that the legend will stay in Pittsburgh.
