Federico Chiesa’s stock has been rising for quite some time now, the 23-year-old Italian striker is on his second-year loan to powerhouse Juventus and has caught the eye of many teams across Europe. Son of former Italian target man Enrico Chiesa, Federico has made a name for himself on his own.

Chiesa began his career at Fiorentina in 2016 and stayed with the club until last year when he went on loan for €3 million and then again, this season at €7 million to Juventus. At Fiorentina Chiesa shined and scored 26 goals in 137Serie A matches.

Now after breaking his way into the Italian national team and winning two titles with Juventus, Chiesa has attracted interest from European champions Chelsea according to The Sun, who will look to sign the player by the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun Chelsea is preparing to make a £85 million transfer bid for the Fiorentina man, who’s loan expires this season with the Italian Old Lady. Chiesa’s Euro cup performances really impressed the Chelsea brass enough to merit a transfer fee.Juventus is said to be willing to make a £43 million transfer bid at the end of the season, as per the current loan agreement and if Chelsea make a £85 million transfer bid it’s a no brainer for Fiorentina. Chelsea will have competition not only from Juventus, but it is rumored Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also interested.

If Chiesa does go to Chelsea, he will face huge competition at least from the current crop of forwards. While the future of Timo Werner is up in the air, and players like Pulisic who is often injured, Chiesa could find good playing time if he moves to Chelsea and the Premier League.
