The summer transfer window has passed and Liverpool looks practically unchanged from last season. Jurgen Klopp has only landed Ibrahima Konate from Leipzig after Virgil van Dijk‘s injury last termproved the Redsneeded a boost in defense.

It hasn’t fully convinced fans, though, the fact that the Reds have only signed one player while the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United seized the transfer market to strengthen themselves.

But Klopp seems to be quite satisfied with his squad, otherwise he would have gone after more firepower. Still, Liverpool were reportedly consideringsnatching a player from Premier League rivals as they had a West Ham forward on their radar. And their interest may still exist.

Liverpool would chase $27m West Ham forward again

They may have had some ups and downs last season but it’s undeniable that Liverpool have one of the mightiest offensive trios in the league. It’s understandable why Klopp has been satisfied with his front three despite the demands for an outright No. 9.

But it’s also true that it’s never a bad idea to boost their attack by adding new options, just like they did withDiogo Jota – a move thatturned out incredibly well. Last summer, Liverpool were linked with West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, the right winger who has thrived under David Moyes.

According to Liverpool Echo, the Reds would still have him on their radar following rumors of a $27 million (£20m) move this summer. The 24-year-old has arrived in London in 2020 from Hull City and is under contract until 2025.

When Liverpool acquired Jota they spent£40 million ($54m), so it wouldn’t be such a crazy idea they swoop for Bowen. It’s a position where they’ll need options as Harvey Elliott got injured and Takumi Minamino still raises doubts.
