The three teams didn’t manage to add a victory to their account in the final game, and thus they missed out on a spot in the last eight.
France justified their favorite role by beating Iran 79-62 in the final Group Stage match, whileNigeriasuffered another defeat, this time to Italy 80-71.Germany have failed to win once more after being defeated 89-76 by Australia.

After the first day of Matchday 3, France lead Group A with six pointsand a win percentage of 100%, leaving the United States behind in second with five points and awin percentage of 66.7%. Currently, the Czech Republic and Iranare located in the bottom two positions, as the Czech have four points.Iran are on the bottom since they have failed to grab at least onewin, and thus, they have been knocked out of the tournament.
In Group B, Australia and Italy hold the top two positions.However, after playing three games, Australia have managed to three times, so they have a win percentage of 100%. Italy, meanwhile, lost once and won twice, so they are sitting in second place. Germany are third with four points, while Nigeria areplaced last with three points as they have three defeats so far, meaning they will not go through to the next phase.
With Group C taking part in the thirdround on Sunday,Slovenia and Spain have an identical record of two victorieseach and thus, both have awin percentage of 100%. Moreover, Slovenia have netted and conceded more than Spain, so as a result, they sit on the top for now. Argentina and Japanhave tow points in twogames, as they both were defeated.
