Terence Crawford is a speed machinewelterweight boxer and there is no question that he is a defensive genius. One of the best pound-for-pound boxers of his weight class Crawford is currently undefeated with37 boutsand 28 of those wins coming in by knockouts as of March 2021.

Crawfordhas held multiple world championships in different weight classes and is one of the more enjoyable boxers to watch. As of February 2021, Crawford has been namedthe world’s best active boxer, pound for pound, by ESPN.His incredible speed is always a challenge for his opponents.

24. Oleksandr Usyk

Oleksandr Usykis the first cruiserweight in history to hold all four major world championship titles. Nicknamed “The Cat” Usyk is known for his incredible legwork and endurance. He is currently undefeated with 18 fights and 13 of them being wins by knockout as of March 2021.

Even the speed of his accomplishments is impressive as the boxer won his first world title in his tenth fight and became the undisputed champion by his fifteenth. In 16 fights Usyk had defeated five current or former world champions,an incredible achievement.

When it comes to the heavyweight division, few fighters came close to the speed Holmes had in his jabs.Holmes held the heavyweight title for five years and defended his title against 19 fighters!

De La Hoya could always compete against speed welland his massive punches gave him the upper hand. While not known primarily for his speed like some others on this list, De La Hoya was quick in his prime and combined with his big punches he was a force to be reckoned with.

Thomas Hearnsnicknamed “The Hitman” had some serious speed. Hearns was a 6’1 welterweight boxer with one of the hardest pound for pound punches in the sport.The type of speed he could produce was astonishing especially for a boxer his size.

Hearns became the first boxer in history to win world titles in five different weight divisions. His tall and slim body type allowed him to do this and no matter in what division he was in he was equally as fast and strong making it that much more impressive and memorable.

Amir Khan or “King Khan”has astoundingly fast hands and no one can deny that. Khan can thank the majority of his wins on his speed and his losses on his weak chin. He is one of the youngest ever british professional world champions as he won the WBA title at 22 years old.

Judah had a huge potential that sadly never fulfilled and a big part of that was the boxers extremely fast hands and striking power. His career ended in 2019 when he was hospitalized after suffering a brain bleed.

Gary Russell Jr is known for being one of the fastest fighters in the sport. As of January 2020, he is ranked as theworld’s second best active featherweightboxer. Russell Jr has a record of 32 fights, 31 wins, 18 of those wins by knockout.

The 2011 Prospect of the Year has some seriously quick hands. Russell Jr. is known for his speed and athleticism, his only down side is that he really only fights about once a year. Some of the fastest hands the boxing world has seen for sure.

12. Willie Pep

Willie Pephad phenomenal defense and was quick to answer his opponent’s attackwith multiple jabs and good combinations. Pep boxed an impressive 1,956 rounds in the 241 bouts he had in his career, some unheard of numbers! He retired with a total record of 241 fights, 229 wins, 65 knockouts, 11 losses and 1 draw.

Pep was known for his speed and immaculate defense. He was voted as the number 1 featherweight of the 20th century and ranked the number 1 featherweight of all time by the International Boxing Research organization in 2005. Pep’s lightning fast hands got him inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990.

“Sugar” Shane Mosleyhad excellent footwork, great boxing IQ, and strong striking power. Mosley held multiple world championships in three weight classes including the WBC welterweight, WBA (Super), and IBF lightweight titles. In 2000 and 2001 “Sugar” Mosley was named the world’s best active boxer, pound for pound, by The Ring.

Mosley had some very memorable fights like his bouts with Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya, and Manny Pacquiao. Hector Camachodidn’t posses a knockout punch like many other boxers on this list but he was able to outperform many of his opponents due to his incredible speed alone. Camacho competed in eight different weight classes and was a world champion in three of them.

Camacho is another boxer with some very notable fights like his bouts with Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya, but he is remembered for beating Roberto Duran twice and knocking out the one and only Sugar Ray Leonard and sending him into retirement.

Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing and he has won a total of 12 major world titles.
