Angel Reese’s rise in the WNBA has been a pleasant surprise in recent times. But far from settling, the current Chicago Sky star is still hungry for more. After setting a new league record on Sunday night, the former LSU standout shared a heartfelt message on her social media.

The Los Angeles Sparks were the latest victims for Tyler Marsh’s squad, who came away with a 92–85 win. The highlight of the night? Reese grabbed 15 rebounds for the fourth consecutive game—something no player had ever accomplished before.

After achieving this great milestone, Reese didn’t forget her mother, who shares the same name and has always been her biggest support in this sport.

“Love you mom! This for YOU!,” the Chicago star tweeted, along with a crying face emoji, through @Reese10Angel.

Angel Webb Reese, mother of the former LSU player, was also a college basketball player at UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County), where she was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame and had her number 10 jersey retired.

Reese’s stunning performance against the Sparks

It’s no secret that Angel Reese is one of the most talented players currently in the WNBA. She proved it once again by posting extraordinary numbers in the win over Los Angeles.

She delivered an exceptional all-around performance in her 38 minutes on the court against the Sparks. Her dominant force, contributed across the stat sheet with 24 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists, showcasing her versatility as a player.

Beyond her offensive output, Reese also made a significant defensive impact, adding two blocks and a steal. Her efficiency was notable, hitting 10 of her 19 field goal attempts and maintaining a perfect record from the free-throw line, sinking all four of her attempts.
