The UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals roll on as the clashes on Wednesday, April 14, pit four soccer clubs with very different histories against each other. This time, Borussia Dortmund host Manchester City at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany, while Real Madrid travel to England to face Liverpool.

It looks like the Liverpool vs Real Madrid matchup has already been decided but there is always space for surprises, as history has shown us in the Champions League the past several years. On the other side, the Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City is still open and two goals from the Germans might see knock the Premer League side out of the competition.

While picking a straight winner might not be as attractive there are many betting opportunities in the over/under or who scores first that might be much more attractive. Let’s take a look at the sports betting options for these matchups.

Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City betting picks

Manchester City have been unstoppable this season, as they were on an incredible 21-game winning run in all competitions, before being stopped by their arch-rivals Manchester United in the Premier League. They did manage to rehabilitate but were again stunned by Leeds in Round 31. However, they have been impeccable in the UCL, and enter the second leg of the Borussia Dortmund with a 2-1 lead.

It was De Bruyne who opened the score, as Reus equalized for the away side, but then Foden netted the winning goals for the Citizens. Having both teams' current form in mind, FanDuel are favoring Manchester City by a big margin, as they are paying out -155, Borussia Dortmund +400 and a draw is at +310. If you got to pick anyone to put the ball in the back of the net in this game look no further than Erling Haaland, as he is at +500 to be the first one to score.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid betting picks

Real Madrid have improved vastly after their slow start to the season, and are now ready to seriously fight on two battlegrounds, the La Liga and the UCL. Easier than expected, they have managed to overcome the difficult task of meeting Liverpool for the first time since the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final. The Whites have a huge 3-1 lead from the first leg, thanks to goals by Vinicius (2), and Asensio. It was Salah who scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Interestingly, despite having to overcome at least two goals, the bookmakers still see Liverpool as the favorites in the second leg, with FanDuel favoring the Reds by a big margin, as they are paying out -110, Madrid +260, and a draw is at +300. However, considering Jurgen Klopp's players' recent form, it looks very unlikely that they will manage to pull off another remake of that Istanbul night in 2005. As a result, it’s not unreasonable to think that the Spanish club can win this game 2-1 and that score line is paying +1100.

Parlays for these two Wednesday matchups of the UEFA Champions League Round Quarter-Finals

A solid parlay bet could be the following: Manchester City to beat Borussia Dortmund; Erling Haaland to score the first goal of the game, and Real Madrid to win the Liverpool clash with a final result of 2-1. At $100, the bettor could win up to $1,445.
