The Duke Blue Devils were the best team in the nation for most of last season. Unfortunately, despite having multiple potential NBA Draft picks, they fell short in the Final Four.
Now, twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer will join the program, and they come with some pedigree. Besides being the sons of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, they also come with several major accolades.
That’s especially true for Cameron, as the power forward just became one of three players to ever be named Gatorade National Basketball Player of the Year twice, as pointed out by Columbus High School on social media.
Cameron Boozer joined a very exclusive club
“HISTORY. MADE. TWICE,” read the post. “Cameron Boozer ’25 has been named the Gatorade National Basketball Player of the Year — again! Already a legend, Cameron joins an elite group of only three other players to ever win this honor twice. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.”

Boozer will now look to follow in his father’s footsteps by playing for the Blue Devils, and he’ll have some big shoes to fill after the team almost reached the championship game.
