The Rutgers Scarlet Knights were perhaps the most disappointing team in all of college basketball this season. Despite having two future NBA stars, they couldn’t even make the playoffs.
Dylan Harper had a strong freshman season, and instead of shutting it down when he hurt his ankle, he came back to play to try and will his team into March Madness.
So, now that he’s officially declared for the NBA Draft and is projected to be the second-overall pick, Greg Pauto of Sports Illustrated believes the Brooklyn Nets should take him.

“Harper to Brooklyn works on so many levels,” he wrote. “First, the location is ideal with Harper growing up in New Jersey and attending Rutgers. Brooklyn has a high scoring two guard in Cam Thomas and could finalize the backcourt with Harper.”

Harper is the son of former NBA champion Ron Harper, and he’s a big-bodied combo guard who can either be the lead playmaker and ball-handler or play off the ball at the two.
