Cameron Boozer has arrived on campus with some big shoes to fill. Not only is he the son of former Duke and NBA big man Carlos Boozer, but heās supposed to be the face of the program after Cooper Flagg left.
Fortunately for him, he will be surrounded by talented players, including his twin brother Cayden, and heāll also have Jon Scheyerās guidance in what will most likely be his lone season in college.
With that in mind, college basketball analyst Jamie Shaw of On3 dug deep into his tape and the Blue Devilsā roster and projected lineup to predict his freshman-year stats.
Jamie Shaw predicts Cameron Boozerās stats
āOne guy we didnāt even get to touch on was (Cam) Boozer,ā said Shaw. āYou know, heās another one kind of along the lines of (Darryn) Peterson where heās going to come in this year and heās going to put astronomical numbers from day one. I mean, you can pencil him in for 18 (points), 7.5 (rebounds), and 2.5 assists from the jump and possibly just grow from there. Heās going to be on the biggest stage with Duke. You know, so, heās going to put up numbers.ā

Of course, projections can always fail, and once the players take the court for the first time, everything that has been written and said about them will be pretty much meaningless.
But if his high school tape is any indicator of success, the Duke Blue Devils could have one of the three or maybe even two best players in all of college basketball next season.
