Carson Beck’s arrival at the Miami Hurricanes following a successful stint with the Bulldogs was undoubtedly accompanied by a series of lucrative financial deals. The staggering amount secured by the quarterback raised eyebrows across the college football world — including that of Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin.

During a recent appearance on The Pivot Podcast, the veteran coach learned of the staggering figure tied to Carson Beck’s NIL deal. According to the report, Beck secured a $4.3 million agreement for just one season.

“Miami gave him $4.3 million?” Kiffin asked. “Did they watch his game against us?” Judging by his reaction, the Ole Miss head coach was clearly stunned upon hearing the details of the deal.

The game Kiffin was referring to dates back to last November, when his team handed Georgia a convincing 28–10 loss — and on that particular day, the talented quarterback didn’t exactly have his best performance.

Carson Beck’s arrival in Miami

This won’t be just another season for the Miami Hurricanes. With Cam Ward heading to the NFL, the team was left with a significant void at quarterback — but the front office moved quickly to find the best possible replacement.

While there was plenty of speculation about who would be Ward’s natural successor, it’s now official: former Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck will take over the role for the upcoming NCAAF season. The talented signal-caller is recovering well from an injury and is expected to be available for the coaching staff as the starting QB.

Last season, the quarterback connected on 64.7% of his throws, racking up 3,485 passing yards along with 28 touchdown passes. However, he also threw 12 interceptions — the highest total in the SEC.

While expectations are high for what the quarterback can bring in this next chapter of his career, only time will tell how he meshes with his new teammates on the field — and whether he can ultimately lead the Hurricanes to a National Championship run.
