The Texas Longhorns have their sights firmly set on the upcoming NCAAF season — and it won’t be just another year for them. With Quinn Ewers off to the NFL, it will be Arch Manning who takes the reins as the team’s starting quarterback. As he prepares for the challenge ahead, Manning knows there’s still one area he needs to improve as he prepares for what’s next.

Much is expected of him, and the young QB is determined not to disappoint. He knows all eyes will be on him from the very first snap, and that his performance must rise to the occasion. That’s why, in the midst of his preparations, he’s working hard to closely emulate two of his biggest role models at the quarterback position.

In a recent conversation with the media, Manning revealed that his biggest inspirations are Josh Allen and Joe Burrow. The talented QB knows there’s still more room to improve — not so much his arm, but rather his mobility on the field.

Until just a few months ago, he was Quinn Ewers’ primary backup on Steve Sarkisian’s team. Manning is well aware of the strength and precision of his arm, but he also knows that mobility is the area he still needs to improve — and once he does, it could become a dangerous weapon against opposing defenses.
