Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros: Storylines

The Boston Red Sox did everything right in Game 3 of the ALCS at home, they had no mercy against the Houston Astros and the team scored more than half of the final score before the 5th inning. The most prominent Red Sox players were Martinez, Renfroe, Vazquez, Arroyo and Devers all of them with 2 runs each and 3-4 at-bats. The big play of the game was the work of Kyle Schwarber with a grand slam to the right field to score 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Houston Astros had to change Jose Urquidy after the 5th run scored by Verdugo thanks to a single to the rigth field by Christian Vazquez, that was the trigger but the Astros thought that Urquidy could control himself. The only Astros highlight at the game was hitting 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning with Kyle Tucker (Home Run), Brantley and Alvarez scored. After Urquidy the Astros used five pitchers who ultimately allowed 6 more runs for a 12-3 loss.
