Against the Boston Red Sox, the Astros took home the American League title in six games getting them to their first World Series since 2019, after winning it in 2017.

For the Atlanta Braves it took a huge effort to win the National League East. Having played below .500 ball for most of the year, then they defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in four games, and the Los Angeles Dodgers in six to win the NLCS. So, which of these teams has home field advantage in the World Series? Find out below.

This current set up for World Series home field advantage was only installed in 2017. Before that World Series home-field advantage was determined by the team from the league that won that year’s All-Star Game. It was added as incentive to play to win the All-Star game following a 7-7 tie in 2002.
