Draymond Green continues to prove why he is regarded as one of the NBA’s premier defenders. Finishing third in this season’s Defensive Player of the Year voting was yet another testament to his impact, and he backed it up with consistent performances on the court. However, a heated exchange between the Golden State Warriors star and Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green sparked conversation among fans heading into Game 4 of the NBA playoffs.

The buzz started after Jalen Green made pointed comments to the media following Golden State’s Game 3 victory over Houston. Draymond wasted no time firing back, using his platform on The Draymond Green Show to address the remarks. His response, delivered candidly during a conversation with co-host Baron Davis, caught many Warriors fans by surprise.

“That’s cool. I don’t do much. That’s fine. I don’t do much, you know. I was just balling your a**,” Draymond said when asked about Jalen’s remarks. The veteran forward didn’t stop there, adding: “I just do what I have to do, but I don’t do much. You know what I’m saying? So, you was balling though. No problem. I’m happy he see it that way. That’s incredible. Shout out to him. A lot of times those are like blanket statements, facts, because you can start believing that and then I ain’t going to say nothing.”

That’s how you get your a** kicked,” Davis said. “There’s a fine line between respect and disrespect. You have to be careful because it could show up on the court, whether it’s not closing out, not boxing out, or letting a guy drive to the hole. So, you know, be careful. That’s what I would say to the young fella, especially in the playoffs because it’s just a different level.
