Draymond Green has never shied away from sharing his thoughts, whether it’s during a heated game or on his popular podcast. But his outspoken nature often draws attention, and not always the good kind. During the Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets game, Green became the target of an explicit chant from the opposing crowd, prompting head coach Steve Kerr to address the incident postgame.

The Warriors entered the game carrying momentum from their Game 1 performance, but the tide shifted when Jimmy Butler exited with an apparent injury. From that point on, Golden State appeared out of rhythm, and the Rockets capitalized, taking full control of the game.

Beyond the on-court struggles, a controversial moment unfolded in the stands. As tensions rose, a section of fans began chanting “F*** you Draymond,” a moment that didn’t go unnoticed. After the loss, Kerr was asked about the incident and didn’t hold back.

It’s not ideal when a crowd is chanting ‘F you Draymond,’” Kerr said. “I would prefer if fans could use a little more discretion and remember that the guy has kids.”

Following Golden State’s Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed more than just his team’s performance. During his postgame press conference, Kerr criticized the explicit chants aimed at Draymond Green by the Rockets’ crowd, calling them unnecessary and counterproductive.

“Maybe I’m old school. I’m all for fans cheering for their team—and if they want to yell at the opponents, great,” Kerr said. “But I just think yelling ‘F you’ is a little much.”

Green shrugs off chants: “Not original”

Draymond Green, no stranger to hostile road environments, had a lighthearted response to the vulgar chants directed at him by Rockets fans. Rather than letting it get under his skin, the veteran forward brushed it off with a jab of his own.

“It’s not original,” Green said after the game. “Been there before, won a championship while it was happening. Can’t steal other people’s s***. That belongs to Boston.”
