Kawhi Leonard could be on his way out of the Los Angeles Clippers, as the front office might be looking to make a major roster overhaul in the offseason. The Clippers were the biggest disappointment of this campaign following an entertaining 2019 offseason that saw them land Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Clips assembled a good team that made them instant contenders and the biggest favorites to win the 2020 NBA championship. Things never really worked out for them, though, and when they landed in the Orlando bubble all their flaws were visible for fans and the rest of the NBA.

In case you don’t remember or know, the Clippers became the 13th team in NBA history to blow a 3-1 lead. They couldn’t finish the job against the Denver Nuggets and earned a lot of criticism and jokes from the rest of the NBA community. Seeing the way things ended for the Clippers, it was obvious that the management was going to make some changes but now things have taken another dimension.

Kawhi Leonard could be traded this offseason

The Clippers are once again entering an important offseason and they will likely make several changes on the roster. They already parted ways with Doc Rivers a couple of weeks ago and now it could be the turn of their star player, the one expected to lead them to the promised land this past season.

The Athletic recently conducted a survey with 20 NBA agents and their responses were very interesting. When talking about the highest-profile player you expect to change teams, one agent dropped the name of Kawhi Leonard, revealing the Clippers could blow up their whole roster this offseason.

“I heard (the Clippers are) going to break that roster up,” the agent said.

It’s crazy to think of the Clippers getting rid of Kawhi this offseason, seeing all the things they gave up to land him and Paul George last year. Yet, seeing how bad the team looked when they were eliminated from the playoffs, it wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world to see the Clippers parting ways with the Klaw.

This is just some buzz from an NBA agent but rumors don’t come from nothing in the NBA.
