LeBron James has been part of the GOAT debate for quite some time now after all his good performances and the accolades he’s racked up with three different teams in the NBA. The King is now looking to win his 5th NBA championship and according to one NBA analyst, that would make him the undisputed GOAT.

The rest of the NBA has tried to get better to beat LeBron and Los Angeles Lakers, including Brooklyn Nets, that recently landed James Harden in a blockbuster four-team trade that sent the shooting guard to New York after nine years in Houston.

That could play a big factor in LeBron and his case for the GOAT, according to former teammate Kendrick Perkins, who has been one of the biggest defenders of LeBron for the last couple of years.

Kendrick Perkins says LeBron James can become the GOAT this season under one condition

After the James Harden trade was announced, Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to once again made the case for LeBron, explaining that if the King wins the NBA ring against the Nets this season, he would become the GOAT over any other player that ever played in the league.

“I don’t need to be convinced that Bron is the GOAT, it’s stamped. But if this Nets team can make it out the East and Bron takes care of them, he’s the undisputed GOAT. Beating 2 super teams today is greater than 6-0 in the 90s. Carry on..”

Perkins always finds a way to defend LeBron but there is no doubt that this team can be a huge threat for the Lakers on their way to the 18th NBA championship. They are still favorites to win and given the styles of play of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Harden, it’s not 100% sure that the Nets will actually compete for something this season.

LeBron still has the advantage and he won’t hesitate to unleash all his power to beat this Big 3. He has a big chance to repeat this season and that 5th championship could mean something huge for him on the ongoing GOAT debate.
