Kevin Durant calls ESPN analyst a f*cking liar over alleged beef with Giannis Antetokounmpo

Kevin Durant is one of the greatestplayers of all time. He’s also one of the most controversial figures around the NBA, as he’s never the one who’ll sit down and let everybody mention his name on debates or hot takes.

Durant has often engaged in social media fights with his fans, haters, the media, and even Hollywood personalities such as Michael Rapoport. If you mention his name, you better believe he’ll be right there to call you out.

Given his nature and the way he feels about the media,it wasn’t a surprise to see the Brooklyn Nets’ star call cap on ESPN’s Jay Williams story about him not wanting to be compared with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Williams said that back when Giannis was a rising star in the league,Kevin Durant reached out to him to tell him “don’t you ever compare me to Giannis again… don’t ever compare that dude to me again.”

As expected, Durant had plenty to say about it. He said that the said conversation never took place and that Jay Williams could never speak for him, followed by a classic Durant rant on Twitter:

“Mans will do anything to advance their careers in this media sh*t, wanting to be accepted by an industry that will dispose of you whenever they please. Keep me out all that corny a** talk about whos better and legacy and all that dumb a** sh*t. I don’t even talk like that,” Durant said.

Jay Williams Says He Stands By His Story

Williams, however, doubled down on his take and said that he stood by his story. He said that he shouldn’t have revealed a private conversation between him and the former MVP but refused to acknowledge that he was lying:

“I stand by my story,” Williams said.“I was probably wrong for sharing a personal story, but that’s what we do, we share personal stories. But (Tuesday) I sat there, I’m not going back and forth on social media. I was with my family all day staying positive, it’s all good. It was meant as a compliment, there are levels to this.”

Some insiders have been known to make things up for clout. That won’t be new. But it’s not like Kevin Durant is the most reliable source when it comes to confirming stories, so I guess we’ll never know the truth.
