Curry and Durant previously played together for three seasons with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019, reaching the NBA Finals in all three years and winning two championships. However, Durant ultimately rejected the idea of a reunion.

Speaking on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green revealed a secret he had kept from Durant. “I’ve got a secret I’m going to tell you, but if I tell you, you’ve got to promise to just know that it’s my secret, and you can’t do nothing about it,” Green said. Durant, intrigued, replied: “Alright.” “I got the ball from when you broke the USA scoring record,” Green revealed. “Why do you have that? Dawg, that’s crazy,” Durant responded, laughing.

Green explained how he managed to keep the game ball. “I kept it after that game,” Green said. “They were like, ‘KD, that’s your ball,’ and then you left it sitting somewhere, and I was like, ‘He doesn’t want this ball, I’m going to save this.’ So, I got the ball here.”

Durant seemed unbothered, trusting Green to hold onto it. “I know it’s safe over there, man,” Durant said. However, Green had one request: “I kept it safe; I just need your signature on it, bro. I’m not going to sell it, but I would love your signature.”
