One of the most memorable moments in basketball history was the reunion of three of the game’s greatest players—Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry—on Team USA at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The trio’s performance left fans wondering if they might ever team up again in the NBA. After their inspiring run, speculation about a potential NBA reunion swirled. But have the three stars ever discussed joining forces?

ā€œNo sir,ā€ Durant said on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. ā€œWe ain’t had that convo, man. I think you got everything you were going to see with the Olympics this past summer. It was perfect. Steph had a moment. I had a little moment. Bron had a moment. That was perfect.ā€

Curry and Durant previously played together for three seasons with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019, reaching the NBA Finals in all three years and winning two championships. This season, ahead of the February 6 trade deadline, there were reports of a possible trade that could have sent Durant back to the Bay Area. However, Durant ultimately rejected the idea of a reunion.

Additionally, trade rumors linked LeBron James to the Warriors, sparking excitement about the possibility of pairing him with Curry in a final championship push. However, just like with Durant, the talks never materialized into a deal.

Speaking on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green revealed a secret he had kept from Durant. ā€œI’ve got a secret I’m going to tell you, but if I tell you, you’ve got to promise to just know that it’s my secret, and you can’t do nothing about it,ā€ Green said. Durant, intrigued, replied: ā€œAlright.ā€ ā€œI got the ball from when you broke the USA scoring record,ā€ Green revealed. ā€œWhy do you have that? Dawg, that’s crazy,ā€ Durant responded, laughing.

Green explained how he managed to keep the game ball. ā€œI kept it after that game,ā€ Green said. ā€œThey were like, ā€˜KD, that’s your ball,’ and then you left it sitting somewhere, and I was like, ā€˜He doesn’t want this ball, I’m going to save this.’ So, I got the ball here.ā€

Durant seemed unbothered, trusting Green to hold onto it. ā€œI know it’s safe over there, man,ā€ Durant said. However, Green had one request: ā€œI kept it safe; I just need your signature on it, bro. I’m not going to sell it, but I would love your signature.ā€
