One of the most memorable moments in basketball history was the reunion of three of the gameās greatest playersāKevin Durant, LeBron James, and Stephen Curryāon Team USA at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The trioās performance left fans wondering if they might ever team up again in the NBA. After their inspiring run, speculation about a potential NBA reunion swirled. But have the three stars ever discussed joining forces?
āNo sir,ā Durant said on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. āWe aināt had that convo, man. I think you got everything you were going to see with the Olympics this past summer. It was perfect. Steph had a moment. I had a little moment. Bron had a moment. That was perfect.ā
Curry and Durant previously played together for three seasons with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019, reaching the NBA Finals in all three years and winning two championships. This season, ahead of the February 6 trade deadline, there were reports of a possible trade that could have sent Durant back to the Bay Area. However, Durant ultimately rejected the idea of a reunion.
Additionally, trade rumors linked LeBron James to the Warriors, sparking excitement about the possibility of pairing him with Curry in a final championship push. However, just like with Durant, the talks never materialized into a deal.
