The game is never the same without the best players on it. Even if you don’t like him as a person, you can’t deny that Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and true hoops fans really missed watching him dominate out there.
The last time we’d seen Durant on an NBA hardwood was during the 2019 NBA Finals. He suffered an Achilles injury and had to miss the entire 2019-20 season, which would’ve been his first with the Brooklyn Nets.
But now, after 552 days and nights without Kevin Durant on the best basketball league on the planet, Nets fans finally had a glimpse of what’s to come when he made his preseason debut vs. the Washington Wizards.
So, even though he spent almost two full years just blasting the media, his haters, and everyone who crossed him on social media, it was clear that all basketball fans were ecstatic about getting to watch one of the greatest scorers ever back at full strength. Here, we’ll show you some of the best reactions to Kevin Durant’s long-awaited comeback.
Kevin Durant Is Finally Back And Social Media Exploded
Such an aggressive dunk. Oh my. Brought the house down. Wow. Amazing. Greatest of all time. Legend. Best dunker in the league. MVP for the next 5 years. Incredible.

Durant was back to his former self right away, dunking for his first two – unofficial – points as a member of the Brooklyn Nets and dominating during the 23 minutes he was on the court. Clearly, he hasn’t missed a beat.
The 2-time Finals MVP scored 15 points on 5/12 shooting (0/2 from beyond the arc) with 3 rebounds, 3 dimes, 2 blocks, 3 turnovers, and 3 personal fouls, and he’ll be even better once he gets his legs back under him.
The Nets are expected to be the team to beat in the Eastern Conference with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, and Jarrett Allen leading the way, and it’s always nice to see the best players on earth do what they do.
