There’s no doubt that Kyle Kuzma is one of the biggest subjects of controversy around the NBA community nowadays. Some believe that he’s just way too overrated and does too much talking, some believe that he’s earned his stripes already.

Whatever the case may be, Kuzma has been targetted pretty often on social media. That’s because of his constant antics, unusual thoughts, or just because of his personality. He strikes as the kind of person that you either roll with or simply don’t.

Needless to say, hoops fans can be pretty harsh when they get on social media and more often than not, Los Angeles Lakers fans unleashed their wrath over Kuzma even when it wasn’t called for.

Kyle Kuzma Explains Why He Shut Down His Twitter Account

That’s why the young forward recently explained why he shut down his Twitter account for some days after voicing that he had enough of the disrespect, claiming that he just didn’t want to see people calling him a failure:

“You fall into a different type of reality, which is social media. I just try to stay off of it as much as possible. That’s our way to find news, know about what’s going on in the world. When you constantly have to see people say you’re a failure in life. I kind of just live my life and go about it,” Kuzma said, as quoted by Larry Brown Sports.

Honestly, he’s completely right. You may not like him, his play, or his attitude, but that doesn’t give you the right to curse him out or wish him wrong. Even if a professional athlete should be able to shut down the outside noise, he’s still an NBA champion and a self-mademillionaire and no one can take that away from him. Not now, not ever.
